How To Make An Appointment

How To Make A Routine Appointment

We are now running a full Patient Triage system, via AccuRx, so all appointments should now be booked via a Patient Triage system by filling an online form. Your non-urgent request will be reviewed and responded to by a member of the team on the same working day.

We understand that not all patients have the ability or may not have access to the internet to do this. In this case, our Reception staff will be happy to help you by completing a form on your behalf. You can pop into the surgery or call us for this.

Pre-Bookable Appointments

Routine appointments can be pre-booked up to 2 weeks in advance with the doctor and nurse.

Urgent & Same Day Appointments

The GP will triage and identify the necessity for same day and urgent appointments. Unfortunately, we cannot always guarantee same day appointments, but we do try and offer alternatives which include telephone consultations.

You can phone 01922 631630 from 8.00am to book an appointment.

For any medical advice, you can also ring NHS 111 on 111 (24 Hours).

If you need urgent treatment outside of surgery hours, call the out of hours service on 111.

For EMERGENCIES only – please use A & E Department or Ring 999. This is for seriously ill patients with injuries and serious complaints (e.g. chest pain).

Appointment Times

Please note appointments are for 10 minutes, if you feel you need to discuss more than 1 problem please request a double appointment, but this will be dependant of appointment availability.

Telephone Consultations

You can request a telephone consultation whereby the doctor will call you back.

Cancelling Appointments

If for any reason you are unable to keep your appointment or no longer need it, please let us know as soon as possible so that it can be reallocated.

Appointments can be cancelled by phoning reception on 01922 631630 or online via Patient Access.

Please remember that there may be a shortage of appointments and when you fail to attend you have prevented someone else from being seen in your place.

Home Visits

If a patient is housebound or too ill to leave home, they may be visited at the doctor’s discretion. Requests for visits should be made before 10.00am by ringing 01922 631630.

The receptionist will ask for some details to allow the doctor to assess the urgency of the call. Please do not ask for a home visit if you can come to the surgery.

Out Of Hours, Weekends and Bank Holidays

For emergencies outside surgery hours between 18:30 – 08:00 Monday to Friday, during weekends and Bank Holidays call NHS111.

For deaf people and those hard of hearing, a telephone services is available on 0845 606 4647.

Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest Accident and Emergency Department or call 999.
